Just found these...Wintertime at Loveland

Taken back in December 2010 when you we had days of snow that brought the country to a standstill once again... Loveland was looking great in a sheet of white!

Taking shape....

Since the move to Loveland in September we've been slowly working our way around the farm in preparation for the campsite. Much of the area was just neglected and overgrown, and whilst the pigs have been hard at work rotavating the two smaller fields with their trotters, progress really moved up a gear this week as we welcomed in the digger man. He has been working his way through numerous areas of the site, including the 2.5m deep hole for the cesspool, the leveling out of the garden for the poly tunnel and camping area, as well as the pond we've planned for the ducks. Eager to offer a helping hand Jeff soon promoted himself to chief dumper driver.

The digger man taking top soil from the stream and moving it up to an area behind the large barn which is currently just rubble and hard ground, we'll then plant the area with grass seed.

The garden has been levelled out for the poly tunnel which will have to be secured into the ground, we've dug out just over half a metre down for the foundations.

The cesspit arrived on friday and by 11am on monday we had the pit in the ground. Often a cemented pit needs to be created to avoid the pool from shifting as it fills but we are going to use the more eco-friendly option of sand. 2 tonnes arriving tomorrow.

This area lies at the back of the large barn and has been dug out for a pond and will make a great home for the ducks.

Griffin at work in the main field which is on a slight slope, so we're leveling the area out a little for the caravans.
